No. You can book directly with Stride Physiotherapy without a GP or other healthcare professional referral.

Your initial appointment includes a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history and goals, followed by a physical assessment. We’ll explain our findings and create a personalised treatment and rehabilitation plan.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows the area being assessed to be easily examined and allows you to move freely. For sports-related assessments, suitable sportswear and footwear may be helpful.

If you have any relevant medical information, previous treatment notes, scan results or reports, these can be useful. You should also bring a list of any relevant medication if applicable.

Where appropriate, treatment may be provided during your initial assessment. The priority is first to understand your condition and establish the most appropriate plan for your recovery.

Absolutely. You don't need to be an athlete to benefit from physiotherapy. We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including pain and injuries affecting everyday activities, work, exercise and general movement.
